Here you’ll find a collection of wedding photo’s taken at The Talbot Hotel in Oundle.
You can find a sample album of my work photographed at the The Talbot in the main hotel reception. The hotel also kindly recommend me to their wedding clients.
Shooting weddings here is a delight, the venue itself has a wonderful character mixing old world charm with high end service and a modern food service.
Its stand out feature; the long pathway (I call it the ‘Street’ for simplicity) which leads from the hotels main entrance archway and between the hotels buildings; in effect splitting the hotel in half. You’ll see from the collection of images that I enjoy using this area to create a variety of photos with weddings couple’s, especially later at quiet point later in the day. The ‘street’ runs next to the main bar and so is a natural gathering place for family and wedding guests to meet and chat when they arrive and during the build up to the wedding ceremony.
The Talbot is an extremely flexible wedding venue too, I have photographed a number weddings at The Talbot and I think I’m right in saying that I have seen most of the combinations available to anyone getting married here! The hotel has three licensed ceremony rooms, Westgate Suite, Whitwell Suite and Snug. The two suites are also used for evening wedding receptions in conjunction with the walled courtyard where wedding guests can mingle and chat all afternoon and late in to the evening.
For smaller weddings and receptions couples may choose to marry in the Snug and dine in the magnificent restaurant or even gather around one of the large rustic wooden tables to create their private dining area.
The photo’s are selection from some of the weddings I have photographed over the past 12 months.

The opportunity to photograph at Burghley House and a wedding ceremony in the idyllic Summer House was one of those days I had long looked forward to. See the full blog post & pictures from Carrie & Steve's wedding day.
Last week I was fortunate enough to spend a great 30 mins or so with Sam & Paul. We used their new home as the back drop for their pre-wedding shoot; which they will move in to later this year. Barnsdale Hall Hotel in Rutland will play host to their wedding day. This photo shoot had particular meaning for Sam & Paul because 'The Lodge' will become their forever home later in the year after much time spent renovating and building. So this shoot was serve as a lasting memory of the time they have spent together
