It was my absolute pleasure to spend a full day on Burghley Estate photographing Johnny & Megan’s wedding. The brides parents live on the estate, the marquee reception later in the evening set high up on the hillside afforded a view overlooking the grounds and Burghley House. The wedding ceremony at Burghley was held in Burghley’s Chapel, a place normally reserved for family weddings.
Peter Redhead is recommended by Burghley House & Estate as their preferred wedding photographer. Couples who have chosen this magnificent Elizabethan stately home for their wedding will be able to view my photographs and a wedding album when visiting and meeting with Burghley’s wedding planner.
I think its important that you know I have first hand experience and knowledge of the house, its rooms and grounds plus the sensitivities associated from photographing weddings and corporate events in such a prestigious albeit somewhat unusual family home! Yes Burghley House is home to Orlando & Miranda Rock cousin to the current 8th Marquis of Exeter.
Summer House Wedding - The Summer House at Burghley sits high on a private lawn in a truly spectacular setting overlooking the lake. Hidden completely from view the summer house promises a genuine slice of historic England whilst Burghley’s Great room provides the grandest of settings for a wedding reception. Access to the state rooms ‘The Bow Room’ in particular and a private tour of the house ensures that indoor photograph opportunities are plenty. Access to the South Garden again a private area on day to day means we can create photographs using the lesser well known facades of Burghley House
