Rutland Summer Marquee Wedding - Alex & Michelle
Rutland summer marquee wedding – Alex and Michelle where married at 3pm on a sunny September day in All Saints Church in Braunston, Rutland. The Church itself dates back to the 12th Century and is located in the centre of this lovely village a stones throw from their own home. Following the ceremony the marquee wedding reception was held in the grounds of a wonderful private home.
Alex & Michelle who are both hard working professionals and Triathletes had commissioned me to photograph their wedding earlier in the year. Their overriding wish was for photographs to not only be unposed and natural but that they really capture the essence, surroundings and detail of their wedding day too.
The wedding reception marquee had a classic and relaxed quality, attention to detail was evident everywhere you looked.
Champagne and canapes where served on the lawn, and a simple chalk board sign signaled to everyone the run of the afternoon and evening. The marquee had been transformed through a combination of rustic colours, flowers, glass jars, and vibrant paper lanterns hanging from the ceiling.
I love to photograph people, and children can often be the most rewarding of all. Often painted on a childs face you can find almost every expression, emotion and thought process they experience. This day was to be particularly rewarding; in the lead up and during the church ceremony with a watchful eye I was able capture some lovely images of the great kids who where present. So keep an eye out as you look through, some images are subtle whilst others are more expressive!
A truly wonderful wedding day I am proud and pleased to be have played a small part in.
